At ACE Athletic Centre, we are committed to supporting athletes, coaches and families by providing a professional environment for private training and skill development. Our facility offers high-quality courts, flexible scheduling options and access to a safe, athlete-focused training space where players can receive individualized instruction tailored to their goals. Whether an athlete is looking to refine technical skills, improve game performance, prepare for tryouts, or accelerate their development, our private coaching program provides opportunities for personalized training in a structured manner. Our program has partnered closely with NCCP-certified coaches to ensure athletes have access to the resources they need to reach their full potential both on and off the court.

Bio: Makenna has been playing competitive volleyball for five years at the Division 1 club level. She played on her high school team that won back-to-back Single A Zones titles and qualified for provincials in 2022 and 2023. She also coached the Grade 7 and 8 girls’ volleyball team at her school, leading them to a silver medal finish at Zones. This is Makenna’s second year with Ace, and for the upcoming 2026–2027 season, she will be head coaching an ACE 16U team in Calgary.

With 6 years of playing experience, she has developed strong technical skills, discipline and a deep understanding of the game. Her competitive nature drives her to continually improve while helping those around her grow and succeed. As a coach, Veronica brings energy positivity, and commitment to developing athletes both on and off the court, creating an environment where players can build confidence, improve their skills, and enjoy the process. She emphasizes passing, attacking, positioning and decision making. This season, 2026-27, Veronica will be an Assistant Coach for a 14U team in Calgary.

Bio: For over 10 years, volleyball has been a major part of Pasha's life. As a former professional setter from Ukraine, he has represented the U16-U21 Ukrainian National Teams, and competed professionally across Europe and Israel. Throughout his career, he has trained and played alongside trained athletes, gaining experience with diverse coaching styles, systems and competitive environments.
Professional Clubs: Lokomotiv Kharkiv (Ukraine), SumyKhimProm (Ukraine), Novator Khmelnytskyi (Ukraine), ASA Beersheba (Israel) and Maccabi Hod Hasharon (Israel).

Bio: As both a dedicated player of 10 years and a coach of 7 years, Avery has developed a deep passion for volleyball and for helping others grow. She love sharing her knowledge, encouraging athletes to push themselves, and creating a positive and supportive team environment. Volleyball has taught me the importance of hard work, leadership, teamwork, and perseverance, and is grateful to continue passing those lessons on to the next generation of players. For the 2026-27 season Avery will be the Head Coach an ACE 15U in Calgary.

This year, Steve will be the Head Coach of the ACE 17U team in Okotoks.

Bio: Brookley is an ACE Alumna with over 10 years of playing experience - including 7 years competing at the club level. Brookley's experience as a setter and libero provides her with valuable insight into court leadership, ball control, communication, defence and the importance of reading the game. She is passionate about helping athletes develop strong technique while building confidence, commitment, and teamwork needed to suceed on and off the court. With 3 years of coaching experience, Brookley creates a positive, focused training environment where athletes are challenged to improve and supported as they build lasting skills. Brookley is currently the ACE Volleyball Club's Program Coordinator.
